The study analysed data spanning four years, from 2019 to 2022, and found an increase in concentrations of CO, NO2 and O3 in urban areas with higher temperatures, and a stark contrast in pollution levels between urban and rural areas. These pollutants were significantly higher in urban areas than in rural areas.
